My Survival Resource

About us

Preparedness for people who'd rather not think about it.

My Survival Resource exists for the parent, the renter, the retiree and the new homeowner who know they should be ready for an emergency, and just want someone to tell them what to do, in what order, without the fear.

Why we started

Most preparedness content falls into two camps: government checklists that are accurate but dry, and survival channels that sell fear along with gear. Neither helps a busy family actually get ready.

We sit in between. We take the well-established guidance, turn it into clear steps and printable lists, and keep the tone calm. A storm, a long outage, a boil-water notice or a sudden evacuation is stressful enough. Getting ready for one shouldn't be.

Our goal is simple: help more households reach the point where a bad day stays a bad day, not a disaster.

What we believe

01

Calm beats fear

Fear sells, but it freezes people. Clear steps get them moving.

02

Skills over stuff

Knowing how to purify water matters more than the priciest filter.

03

Small and steady

One item per grocery run adds up to a real supply within months.

04

Ready for everyone

Plans should fit apartments, tight budgets, kids, elders and pets.

Our mission

To make emergency preparedness feel as normal as buckling a seatbelt: a small habit that quietly protects the people you love.

A note on our information

Our guides are general education, built on widely published public preparedness guidance. They aren't medical, legal or professional advice. Always follow your local officials during an emergency.
